Introduction to Music@e-Contest International Online Music Competition

Music@eContest

JSMA has long been committed to promoting local music education. In recent years, we have been strengthening our international connections, collaborating with organizations worldwide to provide students with more global opportunities, broaden their horizons, and enhance their skills. Notable examples include the Singapore National Band Competition, Taichung Jazz Festival, and Shenzhen Wind Music Festival.

Since the outbreak of COVID-19 in 2020, most international events and exchanges were suspended. Fortunately, our association established a connection with Music@e-Contest, an international online music competition, providing participants of the JSMA Music Competition an easy way to engage in world-class events, observe and learn from others, and expand their musical exposure.

Music@e-Contest is a truly international online music competition organized by a European Union institution. It is listed in the World Competitions Rating as a top-tier global event (A****), and is currently the largest international online music competition by participation. As of 2020, over 1,800 participants from more than 50 countries and regions have taken part.
